About the Institute :
CBIT was started on Dec 10th, 1979 by the Chaitanya Bharathi Educational Society (CBES). Situated at a distance of 16 kms from the city of Hyderabad in the scenic location of Gandipet, the campus spans an area of 30 acres with a built up area of 20,410 sq.mts. The Institute possesses the entire necessary infrastructure with adequate buildings and well equipped laboratories, advanced instruments, updated software and a spacious library with 30,000 volumes

CBIT Campus:
CBIT has a full-fledged well-endowed library to benefit students in their pursuit of knowledge. The Library and Information Center has a collection of nearly 40,478 volumes worth Rs.35 lakhs. With an open access system the library subscribes to 147 Indian journals and has access to nearly  
 

96 foreign journals in various engineering fields through the Information Dissemination Center of College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad. At present the Institute offers 9 B.E. courses and 3 P.G. courses with 3 "A" Grades by the National Board of Accredition of AICTE, New Delhi. This is the first Private Engineering College in Andhra Pradesh to approach the AICTE for Accreditation. 19 batches numbering 7000 have graduated from the portals of this Institution from its inception. Over 60% of them are placed abroad. More than 10% of the students were selected in various competitive exams such as IES, IAS and other competitive exams with high ranks. Many have scored above 90% in GATE Examinations.
